Seattle to Portland Ride Companion
STP App is your companion for the Seattle to Portland bike ride. Track your progress along the 206-mile route, view weather forecasts for each checkpoint, and get alerts as you approach rest stops.
Enable location access when prompted, then tap the Map tab. Your position will appear as a blue dot on the STP route. The app shows all 12 checkpoints along the way.
The app shows weather forecasts for each checkpoint based on your expected arrival time. Set your start time and pace in Settings to get personalized forecasts.
Yes! Enable notifications and the app will alert you when you're within 2 miles of each checkpoint. This works even when your phone is locked.
The route map and checkpoint information work offline. Weather data requires an internet connection but is cached for up to an hour.
Go to Settings and adjust your average speed. The app will calculate your expected arrival time at each checkpoint based on your pace.
To send checkpoint alerts while your phone is in your pocket during the ride. You can use "While Using" if you prefer, but you'll only get alerts when the app is open.
